Recorded crime by Garda station

crime.recorded_garda_station

Recorded crime is not a count of offences committed or of detections. CSO lifted Statistics Under Reservation in October 2023; Group 09 (Fraud) from Q3 2023 is public reports only; Group 13 in 2020–2022 includes COVID public-health incidents. Garda division and station series use current Operating Model labels (dropdown, not map polygons). Full caveats are listed below.

Definition

Annual recorded crime incidents by Garda station (CSO CJA11, replacing CJA07) with current Division labels. CJA11 does not publish homicide (01) or sexual offences (02). Group 09 (Fraud) runs through 2022; 2023 is unpublished at station grain. Dropdown only — no station polygons. Recorded ≠ committed ≠ detected.

Caveats

  • Annual recorded incidents by Garda station (CJA11, replacing CJA07) with current Division labels. Dropdown only — no station polygons.
  • CJA11 does not publish homicide (01) or sexual offences (02). All (major offence groups) sums the groups CSO publishes on this table, not a 16-group national total.
  • Group 09 (Fraud) on CJA11 runs through 2022. 2023 is unpublished at station grain because pre/post Q2 2023 fraud is incomparable. From 2024, CSO’s public-reports fraud series is not on this station table.
  • Recorded crime is not equivalent to offences committed or detections.
