Source and definition

Injury collision rate on Transport Infrastructure Ireland national-road segments for the frozen 2022–2024 analysis vintage (CollRates_2022to2024, published 20 January 2026, CC BY 4.0). Rate is collisions per 100 million vehicle-km — not a collision count and not local or regional roads. Coverage is the national network only (~1 km segments). This vintage uses AGS data current at the analysis date; later AGS revisions do not rewrite it. Do not stitch older overlapping windows (2018–20, 2020–22) into a trend. High collision location is a segment attribute (Twice Above Average Rate), not a second indicator and not a danger map. Click a segment on the map to select it — segments are not listed in the place combobox.
